Comfort In Times Of Trouble

Father, we Thank You that Your faithful love never ends, that Your mercies never cease and they begin afresh each morning .  Great is Your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23). Lord, we Thank You that Your lovingkindness and graciousness comfort us (Psalm 119:76).  We Thank You Father that you are our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we come befofe you today, praying for ourselves and others in our circle of family and friends who are facing difficulties right now.  We are hurting and struggling for many reasons, and ask You to help us through these trying times.  Lord lift us up over the storms in our lives and into the loving comfort of your presence.  Lord your word says  God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.  He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.  When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).  So Lord, come alongside us in our pain, and strengthen us to be more than conquerors so one day we will be able to help others who face the same struggles.  Lord your words says “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit “(Psalm 34:18).  You’re close to people whose hearts are breaking, those who are discouraged and have given up hope.  So Lord, draw close to us so we can feel your closeness.  Give us a stronger sensitivity to your presence so that we may experience the glory of your goodness.

Help us to trust You as our God and anchor of hope and not get lost in hopelessness or negative defeating thoughts and emotions.  Gives us your grace which your word says is sufficient for us, for your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Fill us with Your joy and your peace which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).  During these trying times help us to grow in our discomfort, increase in faith and and not be be overwhelmed with doubt or fear.   With every need that we have, help us to humbly come before and be willing to ask for it in your son Jesus Name.  In all our doubts, fears, worries, loneliness, weaknesses, tribulations, disappointments, sorrows and discouragement, help us to speak your word against it.  For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature] (Hebrews 4:12).

Father, Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  So Father we come to you today because:

Father fear has to leave because your word says you have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)

Father, depression has no place in our lives it has to go for your word says When the righteous cry [for help], the Lord hears And rescues them from all their distress and troubles (Psalm 34:17).

Father, hopelessness has to go, for your word says So now, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and support you and your little ones.” So he comforted them [giving them encouragement and hope] and spoke [with kindness] to their hearts (Genesis 50:21).

Father, feelings like we have been abandoned by you has to go because your word says So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you (Deuteronomy 31:6).”

Father the feeling of lack has to go for your word says Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10).

Father, feelings of weakness has to go because your word says Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;  it was our sorrows that weighed him down.  And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!  But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.  He was beaten so we could be whole.  He was whipped so we could be healed (Isaiah 53:4-5).

Father, doubt has to leave for your word says Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments (Deuteronomy 7:9).

Father, anxiety and worry has to leave for your word says casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully] (1 Peter 5:7).

Father, resentment and bitterness has to go for your word says And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness] (Ephesians 4:27).

Father, shame has to leave for your word says Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;  no shadow of shame will darken their faces (Psalm 34:5).

Father, discouragement has to go for your word says Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).”

Father, condemnation has to go for your word says Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior] (Romans 8:1).

Father, oppression has to go for your word says The Lord also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9).

Father we call out these things by name so that they would be removed from us this instance. For God we decree and declare that your word is greater than the things we face, stronger than any thoughts or feelings we could have so we speak your words to our mountains today.  Like it says in Mark 11:23 Jesus said I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].

Help us to stand strong on the truth of what your word says.  Thank you God that you have our feet planted firmly in You.  So that we are steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing our best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that our labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose] (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Lord in these times of trouble let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance;  and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].  Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:3-5).

Lord, we thank You that You are the God of the impossible. You can do anything and there is nothing to hard for God.  Teach us to see difficulties in our life from Your perspective. Help us to focus on You and Your power. Help us to trust You in our circumstances.  Lord, guide us to trust in and rely confidently on You with all our heart And do not rely on our own insight or understanding.  Direct us in all our ways to know and acknowledge and recognize You,  for You will make our paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block our way] (Proverbs 3:5-6).  Lord, we will not try any man-made methods to do only what You can do. Show us how to walk by faith and not by sight.  We declare our faith in Your ability to fulfill Your promises to us.  You will fight our battles for us.  You are mighty, powerful, righteous and true.

Help us to remember to give thanks in the midst of our trials for all things work together for the good.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen!!

Loving Yourself

Father, we thank you for the renewed grace that you give us each and every day.  Thank you Father that you are going before us to make our crooked paths straight.  We thank you for the unconditional love that you always show us.  We thank you that you are our Advocate and that you go before us.  Lord, we come before you needing help to in accepting ourselves just the way we are without judgement or criticism.  Help us to embrace our weaknesses, and the uniqueness that makes us who we are.  Lord, your word says that we are altogether beautiful and there is no flaw in us (Song of Solomon 4:7).  Help us to love ourselves just as we are. Help us to see ourselves the way that you see us as your masterpiece created new in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10).  For we were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

Help us to embrace our personality, our uniqueness and our body just the way it is, with all its beauty and perfection.  With the power of our self-love, let us enjoy what we see every time we look in the mirror.  Increase the love we have for ourselves and let it be so strong that we never again try to sabotage our happiness, freedom or the future that you have planned for us.  God, let the power of your love be so strong in us that it removes all the lies we believed that told us we weren’t good enough, strong enough, intelligent enough, or that we wouldn’t make it. Let the power of your love flow so strongly in us that we no longer need to live our lives according to other people’s opinions or expectations.

With the love you have placed in us to love ourselves, let us no longer be afraid to face responsibility in our life or face any problems and resolve them as they arise. For whatever we want to accomplish, let us have the fearlessness and tenacity to go after it.  Give us daily the wisdom we need to keep a healthy state of mind, body and spirit.  Let us never compromise our integrity or the authenticity of what makes us who we are.  Help us to never be in fear of anything or anyone but you, Father.  Lord we need daily reminders of your love for us.

Heal us on the inside from any negative things we believe about ourselves and clean our mind from any negative words we tell ourselves.  By your grace let any internal conflict be resolved right now in Jesus Name. Strengthen our will to forgive ourselves in this moment.  Starting right now, let every action, thought, and words spoken be based on love.  Help us to love ourselves as you love us.  Help us to walk in true obedience of your word, your ways and your will so that the purpose you created us for would be manifested in our lives.  Open our ears to hear, our eyes to see, our heart to love more like yours.  Let all our senses be more heightened to the awareness of your presence.  Clean our mind of emotional poison and self-judgments so that we can live in complete peace and love.

With our increased self love for ourselves let it be the catalyst that helps to transform the relationship we have with ourselves.  No longer pretending to be someone or something that we are not just to  get people to accept us.   No longer feeling like we need everyone to affirm us.  Let us be joyful to share our time with loved ones and to forgive them for any wrong they have done to us.   Help us to love ourselves so much that we choose to forgive anyone who has hurt us.  Help us  to be free of any conflict with others.  Give us the courage to love unconditionally so that it changes our relationships in the most positive and loving way.  Help us to accept others just the way they are and without judgment.

Help us to enjoy our life, to enjoy our relationships, to grow and learn in the exploration of life.   Help us to be courageous to take necessary risk to reach our destiny and to no longer live in fear of giving or receiving love.  Lord, help us to become a master at self love so that we may be more equipped to share the light of Jesus with the world by being a blessing to all those we come into contact with on a daily basis.

We Pray All These Things in Your Son Jesus Name, Amen!!!

Father we thank you for the forgiveness that you have given us through the sacrifice that was made on the cross.  We thank you that your word says Who is a God like You, who forgives wickedness And passes over the rebellious acts of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He [constantly] delights in mercy and lovingkindness (Micah 7:18).  We thank you God that you wipe out all our transgressions and you will not remember our sins (Isaiah 43:25).  We thank you that if we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, you are faithful and just [true to your own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with your will and purpose] (1 John 1:9).  We thank you that for if we forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], you as our heavenly Father will also forgive us (Matthew 6:14). So  God, we need your help to forgive ourself and others.  Help us give the gift of forgiveness as you have shown us.  Let us not be easily offended or live in the offenses of what others have done to us.  Let us be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry (James 1:19).

For any offenses that we are still holding onto, we release them all to you today.  Lead us God out of the hurt and pain of our past and let us walk in the freedom, love and forgiveness that you have given us.  Help us to demonstrate your unconditional love toward everyone, even those who have hurt us.  Help us see all those who have offended us through your eyes as a child of God and loved by you.  Since we are forgiven by you, let us walk in total forgiveness to those who have trespassed against us.  As we began to walk in forgiveness, let our hearts no longer be troubled and let us be filled with your peace.  Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence] and let us be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32).  Lord help us love  our enemies and bless those who curse us.  Help us to pray for those who offend us so that we may show them mercy, be quick to forgive them, and our hearts may be softened toward them

Expose any unforgiveness that we have in our heart that we don’t know about. Help us to understand the depth of the forgiveness you have given us so that we don’t get stuck in unforgiveness toward others.  Lord, if we forget that we are forgiven have the Holy Spirit remind us of the sacrifice Jesus made for our own forgivness.   Guide us in bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as you Lord have forgiven us, so should we forgive (Colossians 3:13).

Lord we forgive ourselves from all the negative and harmful things that we have ever said about ourselves and others.   Help us to forgive ourselves for the times when we felt like we failed you and ourelves.   Saturate our heart, mind and thoughts with your love.  Help us to always use our tongue to speak life into ourselves and others.  Help us to see the beauty in ourselves and in others as you see it.

Lord forgive us for blaming you for our actions, other people hurting us, and things that have happened in our lives that we did not like.  Lord we repent of our sins and ask that you forgive us as we forgive those of have trespassed against us.  Let us not entertain any sin in our heart Lord for we don’t want anything to come between our relationship with you.  Have mercy on us  where ever we struggle with sin in our daily lives.  Gives us your grace to overcome the sins we struggle with today.  Reveal to us if there is any sin that we need to confess to you and be willing to repent for it.  And let the necessary changes be made in us to walk completely in the forgiveness that has been given to us.  Let wrong thinking and bad habits be replaced with right thinking and healthy habits that come from you.  And Lord if there is anyone that holds unforgiveness toward us, let their hearts be softened and willing to forgive us for what we have done to them.

In Jesus Name We Pray, AMEN!!!

Right Relationships

Heavenly Father, we thank you God for the relationships that we have in our life.  All of them have helped shape us into the person we are today.  We thank you God for your love and that you are our ever present help.  You are our Rock, Redeemer, Way Maker, Provider, Protector and an Amazing, Awesome Father to your children.  Lord, we bring every one of our relationships under your submission for your will to be done in them.  Holy Spirit lead us into taking action toward being in a right relationship with our Heavenly Father.  Where there is sin, let us confess and repent and walk away from it.  Where change needs to occur in us, change us so that we become more like you, Father.   Lord, we draw close to you today, knowing you will draw close to us as you have promised in your word (James 4:8).  Reveal to us your desires for our lives and take us deeper into a more intimate relationship with you.  We want to know you and see you working in every area of our lives.  Teach us what we need to know to be better stewards with what you give us.  Let us always be humble and have a teachable spirit and be open to learning and growing more in you.  As we get into right relationship with you, help us to honestly examine all of our relationships for us to see them as you would want us to view them.  Father, you know exactly the relationships that we hurt from the most.  We need you to help us forgive those that have hurt us and deliver us from painful memories from our past.  Supply us with the healing we need to walk in the gift of forgiveness from our past wounds so that we are free to embrace the present.   Lord show us how to live as your word says in Colossians 3:12-14 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

Lord, give us discernment on what relationships that we need to seperate ourselves from.  In order for these relationships to end, we need you Lord to give us strength to end the relationship, courage to stick with the decision and complete the severing of the relationship and guidance on the best way possible to disassociate ourselves with them.  It says in 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character. God we no longer want to be influenced by people who could corrupt our hearts, minds or even our relationship with you. God, from this day on, help us to choose all our relationships wisely, so we won’t be led out of alignment of your will for our lives.  It says in Proverbs 12:26  The righteous man is a guide to his neighbor, But the way of the wicked leads them astray.  Lord, let us no longer be deceived by people or the connections that we have with others.  No longer allowing our eyes to be blinded by the sense of loyalty due to the length of the relationship or the help that was provided in the past from the relationship that needs to end.

Lord, for the relationships that you reveal to us that we need to continue with that are difficult, please bring healing, peace, reconciliation and restoration to those connections.  Father we know that two cannot walk together unless they have agreed to do so (Amos 3:3), so we ask that you help us to find a place of agreement, unity and like-mindedness.  Break down any walls or barriers that have caused separation or misunderstandings.  Let these relationships be made stronger because of the work that you are doing in them and through us.  Protect these relationships with your power and let it bring you glory.

God, for our other relationships that we are currently in that we need to continue with, help us to be quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener], slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving]; (James 1:19). Let us show the kind of love that endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant.   It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured.  It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail].  Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening] (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).  Shape our hearts to have nourishing interactions with others that cause us to grow.  Open our hearts to love more and edify others how you intended.  Direct us in setting healthy boundaries in all our relationships.  Lord, lead us to consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).  Help us to nurture and cherish all our relationships by bathing them in prayer including our relationship with ourselves.

God help us to not isolate ourselves for protection against people, but instead Lord let us be drawn to fellowship with other likeminded people.  Guide us in the development of having a healthy relationship with ourselves where we can be open and honest with ourselves about who we are, weaknesses the we need your help with overcoming and learning to truely love oursleves no matter what.

We love and appreciate you Lord.  In Jesus Mighty Name We Pray, Amen!
