Father, we Thank You that Your faithful love never ends, that Your mercies never cease and they begin afresh each morning . Great is Your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23). Lord, we Thank You that Your lovingkindness and graciousness comfort us (Psalm 119:76). We Thank You Father that you are our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we come befofe you today, praying for ourselves and others in our circle of family and friends who are facing difficulties right now. We are hurting and struggling for many reasons, and ask You to help us through these trying times. Lord lift us up over the storms in our lives and into the loving comfort of your presence. Lord your word says God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). So Lord, come alongside us in our pain, and strengthen us to be more than conquerors so one day we will be able to help others who face the same struggles. Lord your words says “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit “(Psalm 34:18). You’re close to people whose hearts are breaking, those who are discouraged and have given up hope. So Lord, draw close to us so we can feel your closeness. Give us a stronger sensitivity to your presence so that we may experience the glory of your goodness.
Help us to trust You as our God and anchor of hope and not get lost in hopelessness or negative defeating thoughts and emotions. Gives us your grace which your word says is sufficient for us, for your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Fill us with Your joy and your peace which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). During these trying times help us to grow in our discomfort, increase in faith and and not be be overwhelmed with doubt or fear. With every need that we have, help us to humbly come before and be willing to ask for it in your son Jesus Name. In all our doubts, fears, worries, loneliness, weaknesses, tribulations, disappointments, sorrows and discouragement, help us to speak your word against it. For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature] (Hebrews 4:12).
Father, Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” So Father we come to you today because:
Father fear has to leave because your word says you have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)
Father, depression has no place in our lives it has to go for your word says When the righteous cry [for help], the Lord hears And rescues them from all their distress and troubles (Psalm 34:17).
Father, hopelessness has to go, for your word says So now, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and support you and your little ones.” So he comforted them [giving them encouragement and hope] and spoke [with kindness] to their hearts (Genesis 50:21).
Father, feelings like we have been abandoned by you has to go because your word says So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you (Deuteronomy 31:6).”
Father the feeling of lack has to go for your word says Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10).
Father, feelings of weakness has to go because your word says Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed (Isaiah 53:4-5).
Father, doubt has to leave for your word says Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments (Deuteronomy 7:9).
Father, anxiety and worry has to leave for your word says casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully] (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, resentment and bitterness has to go for your word says And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness] (Ephesians 4:27).
Father, shame has to leave for your word says Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces (Psalm 34:5).
Father, discouragement has to go for your word says Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).”
Father, condemnation has to go for your word says Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior] (Romans 8:1).
Father, oppression has to go for your word says The Lord also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9).
Father we call out these things by name so that they would be removed from us this instance. For God we decree and declare that your word is greater than the things we face, stronger than any thoughts or feelings we could have so we speak your words to our mountains today. Like it says in Mark 11:23 Jesus said I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].
Help us to stand strong on the truth of what your word says. Thank you God that you have our feet planted firmly in You. So that we are steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing our best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that our labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose] (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Lord in these times of trouble let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation]. Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:3-5).
Lord, we thank You that You are the God of the impossible. You can do anything and there is nothing to hard for God. Teach us to see difficulties in our life from Your perspective. Help us to focus on You and Your power. Help us to trust You in our circumstances. Lord, guide us to trust in and rely confidently on You with all our heart And do not rely on our own insight or understanding. Direct us in all our ways to know and acknowledge and recognize You, for You will make our paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block our way] (Proverbs 3:5-6). Lord, we will not try any man-made methods to do only what You can do. Show us how to walk by faith and not by sight. We declare our faith in Your ability to fulfill Your promises to us. You will fight our battles for us. You are mighty, powerful, righteous and true.
Help us to remember to give thanks in the midst of our trials for all things work together for the good.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen!!
