There Is Power In Your Tongue – Prayer 2

Lord, we thank you that your word is alive and active in us (Hebrews 4:12) and that it reaches down to the very being of who we are. Father help us to walk in the reassurance of the power in our tongue to speak life into situations and call things that are not, as though they are (Romans 4:17).  Lord, make our lips overflow to speak love, praises to you and encouragement to those who need it.  Fill our hearts with love, peace, and joy so that it becomes apart of who we are and the words that we speak becomes evident that we speak from a place of love, peace and joy in the Lord.  Help us Father to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger (James 1:19) and choose our words wisely when we speak to others.  Father even in times when our tone, volume, attitude, actions, or body language that we use speaks louder than our words let it all come from a place of love.  Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable and pleaseing in Your sight, O Lord, my firm, immovable rock and my Redeemer (Psalm 19:14).  May every word that we speak be a reflection of You who lives inside of us.  Because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord show us when to speak and when we should just keep quiet to give you the opportunity to speak to people how you see fit.  When we do speak, let the words we speak be words that you want us to say and that it would bring life, hope, healing, encouragement and Your love to the person who hears it.  We pray God that as we speak that the hearer would be able to take in our words, process them and break them down in a way to be encouraged and see that we speak with God’s love. In Jesus Mighty Name We Pray, Amen!
