Waiting Well & Trusting God’s Timing

Thank You for going before us and behind us.  Thank You for making our crooked places straight (Luke 3:5).  Thank You for your grace and that you give us hope and encouragement in our waiting.  Lord, help us to be still before You and wait patiently on You (Psalm 37:7) with our whole beings and put our hope in You and Your word (Psalm 130:5).

Lord, we ask that you help us to trust in Your timing to see Your promises manifest in our life.  Lord, help us to constantly rejoice in hope [because of our confidence in Christ] steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength] (Romans 12:12).  Lord help us to wait with confident expectation, knowing that You have heard our prayers (Micah 7:7).  Lord, Your word says But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun];  They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired (Isaiah 40:31).

So Lord, we need Your help to walk in what Your word says today.   Lord, if we become anxious in our waiting, remind us that we should be anxious for nothing and come to You in prayer for Your peace.  Lord, Your peace which is so good that it  surpasses all understanding and will guard our hearts and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).  Lord, if we get discouraged help us to remember to trust in and rely confidently on You with all our heart and do not rely on our own insight or understanding.  In all our ways let us know, acknowledge and recognize You, and You will make our paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block our way] (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We ask all these things in Your Son JESUS Name, AMEN!
