Receiving God’s Mercy

Lord thank you for being so rich in mercy, because of Your great and wonderful love that You love us with (Ephesians 2:4).  Thank You Lord that Your steadfast love never ceases and Your mercy never comes to and end but it is new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.  Thank You Lord for cleansing us through a spiritual transformation of a new birth and renewing by the Holy Spirit because of Your compassion and mercy that You show us because we are children of the most high God whom You saved (Titus 3:5). Lord, because we have been saved, let us abound in Your abundance of mercy that has caused us to be set apart for your purpose in an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3).  Teach us how to repent, ask for forgiveness, and how to fall into Your hands of mercy as and when we make mistakes and not into the hands of man (2 Samuel 24:14).  Because there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior] (Romans 8:1)  Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).  Lord guide us to be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) to others just as You have been merciful to us (Luke 6:36).  For blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy (Matthew 5:7).  Lord just as we have been given mercy, reveal to us how to be used as vessels of Your mercy.

Walking In God’s Love

Lord, we Thank You for the amazing love that You have for us as Your children.  Lord, we Thank You that there is nothing that we can do that could ever separate us from Your love (Romans 8:39).  Thank You Lord, that there is no place that we could ever go where Your love cannot reach us.  Lord, we open the door of our hearts and invite You to come in and make your home in us.  Abundantly pour out Your love within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:5).  Plant our feet firmly in Your love so we can experience the extravagant dimensions of Christ love  (Ephesians 3:18-19).  For You are rich in love and so strong is Your love for those who fear You.  Your lovingkindness endures forever and Your love never quits (Psalm 118:29).  Your lovingkindness prevails over us as we triumph and overcome through You (Psalm 117:2). Lord, we ask today that you would teach us how to not resist love but be open to receive love from You and others You have placed in our lives.  Show us how to love more like you do.  The kind of love that has no conditions or expectations of receiving love in return. For Your love for us is loyal and could never run out.  Lord, Your merciful love could never dry up (Lamentations 3:22).  Steady us and our hearts at the center of Your love so we can learn how to love and show love even to those who have hurt us.

Lord, let everything we do be done from the kind love that is motivated and inspired by the love You have for us (1 Corinthians 16:14).  Lord mature Your love in us.  Lord, let us live a new life of love dressed in the wardrobe You picked out for us.  One with compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as You forgave us. And regardless of what else we put on, we  wear love. Lord, help us to never be without it (Colossians 3:14).  For if we love one another [with unselfish concern], You abide in us, and Your love abides in us and is completed and perfected in us (1 John 4:12).  Keep us forever walking in Your love and let Your love be seen in us.

Our Insecurities Can’t Rule Us

Heavenly Father,

Thank you Father that even with our own insecurites we are absolutely secure in You. For Father, You are are with us always and You are never letting go of us.  Thank You for being such an incredible Father to us.  Lord, You reign supreme over us and that’s why our insecurties cannot rule over us. So Lord, we ask that You expose to us every insecurity we have so we can acknowledge it and surrender it to You.  Lord, bind up every tactic that the enemy would try to use from our past in our insecurities and turn them around by delivering us from them so we can be victorious over them and You can make them work for our good.  For Lord, only with You can we conquer them because You have given us authority and power to trample over our enemies and nothing will harm us (Luke 10:19).  For every insecurity that has taken root in us and where we have allowed it to make a home in us, we boldy declare that each and every single one has been evicted today.  Lord, help us to change our behavior that fed into our insecurities and guide us to walk upright as a new creature in You.   Enlighten our mind to think about ourselves as You do.  Give us eyes like Yours so we can began to see our selves as we should.  Lord, teach us how to see ourselves as a beautiful creation that is worthy of receiving every good thing you have for us.  Impress on us that we are enough just as You have made us to be with our own uniquness that makes us who are.  Show us that we are valuable and precious to You because we are unconditionally loved by You as Your child.  Change our perspective to Yours so that we know when you made us You made a masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10) in Your own image.  Stir up in us what Your word says about us so when the enemy tries to get us to come into agreement with one of his lies we can rebuke it in the name of Jesus.  Whatever might be blocking us from having Your perception about who we are, we ask that You reveal that to us so can turn it over to you in prayer.  For every word that the enemy tries to use against us let us be reminded that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:1
